Athletes and Authors at NorthBay is a new program for Summer 2009. Available for campers age 11-15 (must turn 11 by July 13, 2009), this is an overnight camp held at NorthBay in Elk Neck State Park, Maryland.
NorthBay is an outdoor adventure complex that connects well with Athletes and Authors Summer Academy because of its mission. NorthBay's mission is to teach its participants positive character values through participating in outdoor activities and challenges, just as Athletes and Authors' mission is to teach positive values through academic and athletic activities. To combine Athletes and Authors' unique curriculum with NorthBay's similar mission and outstanding facilities is an amazing opportunity for campers!
Athletes and Authors will use the NorthBay facilities to implement the Athletes and Authors curriculum. Campers will also experience many of the outdoor activities (ropes courses, zip lines, water sports, kayaking, rock climbing, and more!) that NorthBay offers. Such activities will be based around the values-based mission of Athletes and Authors Summer Academy. This camp is separate from the day camp held at Roland Park Elementary/Middle School from July 6-July 31, but campers that participate in Athletes and Authors at NorthBay are welcome to register for the remaining three weeks of Day Camp.
Upon registration and payment, information will be mailed to you with more information regarding Athletes and Authors at NorthBay. This information will include the program schedule, what to bring, and what to expect. We are excited to expand Athletes and Authors in this manner, as it will add a new dimension to our program and provide another dynamic learning opportunity for many of our campers.
We hope you will join us for Athletes and Authors Summer Academy at NorthBay! Contact us at or 410-279-1863 with any questions.
